First Baptist Church - Clarksville,Ar.

I write about what I see and hear. If I see a black or white horse and tell you the correct color, I haven't been judgmental, I have merely made an observation. Whether or not I am member of a Church or not plays no part in my observations. I went to FBC and saw one man singing. I want FBC to grow as much as anyone. It could be a positive thing in an increasingly negative Johnson County. I saw the Africa Mission collection slip. I wondered how much money is being spent here to help local people. Where's the video of FBC accomplishments locally? The water give-away is an advertisement for your Church. What does FBC? I am the newcomer, I am the visitor. Here's your feedback, do with it what you want and can. Feed and clothe the poor? Visit the sick and imprisioned? Campaign against abortion and pornography? Help drug addicts or the abused? Campaign to fill the political offices with conservative lawnmakerS? Promote modesty? We need a Town Hall meeting every Sunday to discuss what we are going to do here in this County, not Africa. My honesty will certainly anger some but maybe someone will get mad enough to listen.

I wrote a reply comment that responded to Coyboydaddy but quess what? He had any reply blocked . That's a brave way to communicate your feelings. Hide by a blocking signal. I write what I see and hear. Anyone and everyone can see my writing and can freely respond. As for his statement that as a visitor I have no idea what's going on at FBC, he's wrong. I was Church at Chery St. I helped do the original work at Crawford.
I had a longer response written out but Cowboydaddy block it. I challenged him to write back and tell me where and when the FBC or he had a local project to work on in Johnson County. I will not only work but I will bring others. I will spread the word online and phone. I have helped in schools in the community with drug addicts and at risk youths. What started out as a post about music has spread to other issues now so read my 360 blog as well, I plan to write more. And you are all free to respond Ill write back and not hide behind electronic blocks.

Let me first say hello. I'm glad you're sharing your opinion, and I think on many levels you're correct. I know there's a huge need here in this town, I wish I had answers, but I don't. I am trying to get together a ministry, or just a few people that want to get together and get "out there" and feed the homeless once a week. I'm full of ideas, it's just bringing them to fruition that takes longer. Any suggestions? Thanks again and I hope that you'll come back to FBC, perhaps we'll meet. Until then, God Bless!!

I think I know what Santana Davis is writing about. You do not see or know what the church is doing. All you see is a wall of the building. If something is going on inside you wouldn't know unless you ask questions. Jesus was seen and heard. He was in touch with the people. He moved among them. You knew He was around. He made waves. He got Himself in "trouble" with the religious. You heard He was near by the crowds following Him. He sent His disciples out two by two. Todays churches stay hidden outta site. You don't hear anything. Perhaps the meaning Santana is trying to convey is where is the church? How do I tap in? Where can I serve? People busy with their own lives in churches sometimes miss great opportunities. We have to ask why are churches becoming so empty. Where is the next generation fitting in? I believe there is a cry in the community to link themselves to church, but they have lost their way.
